Web, Mobile & Cloud

Product & UX Design

Research, interface design and design systems for products engineers have to build and people have to use — including the dense, technical interfaces most studios avoid.

Overview

Design that survives contact with engineering

Part of our Web, Mobile & Cloud Engineering practice.

A beautiful prototype that cannot be built, or that ignores the operator standing at a machine in gloves, is not a design — it is a picture.

We research the real context of use, design against real constraints, and deliver a system of components developers can implement without guessing. For technical products that discipline is worth more than visual flourish.

Capabilities

What we deliver

Discovery & research

Stakeholder interviews, contextual enquiry, task analysis and usability testing with the people who will actually use the product.

Information architecture

Navigation, workflow and content structure — especially for data-dense dashboards, configuration tools and industrial HMIs.

Interface design

High-fidelity UI for web, mobile and embedded displays, with realistic data and every state designed: empty, loading, error, permission-denied.

Design systems

Tokenised component libraries in Figma paired with a coded implementation, so design and code stay in step as the product grows.

Prototyping

Interactive prototypes for validation and for sales demos, built quickly enough to throw away if the research says so.

Accessibility

WCAG 2.2 AA design review, contrast and focus management, keyboard flows and screen-reader annotation handed to developers.

How we work

A predictable path from first call to handover

No two engagements are identical, but the shape is consistent — so you always know what happens next and what you get at the end of each stage.

Engagement models

Understand

Interviews, analytics review and a walk through the current product or workflow. We write down what we heard and check it with you.

Frame

Personas, journeys and the problem statement. We agree what success looks like before drawing a screen.

Design

Wireframes, then high-fidelity UI, then a component system — tested with users at each step.

Support the build

Annotated handover, developer working sessions, and design QA against the implemented product.

Outcomes

What changes for you

  • Fewer mid-build design questions, because states and edge cases are already specified.
  • A component library that speeds up every subsequent feature.
  • Usability evidence you can put in front of a customer or a regulator.
  • Interfaces that work for operators in real conditions, not just in a portfolio shot.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can you design without building?

Yes. Design-only engagements are common, and we package the handover so an in-house or third-party team can implement it cleanly.

Do you design for embedded HMIs?

Yes — instrument clusters, industrial panels and machine HMIs, working within the memory, resolution and input constraints of the target hardware.

How long does a design system take?

A usable first version typically takes six to ten weeks, delivered incrementally so teams start using components before the whole system is complete.
